Silky white chocolate mousse meets the sweet tang of apple balsamic in this elegant dessert. Light yet indulgent, it’s the perfect way to impress on any special occasion!
Ingredients:
For the Mousse:
- 200g white chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
For the Apple Balsamic Compote:
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tbsp Lirah Caramelised Apple Balsamic
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter
For Garnish:
- 2 tbsp toasted almonds, chopped
- Extra Lirah Caramelised Apple Balsamic for drizzling
Method
- Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and melted white chocolate until smooth.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the apples soften slightly. Stir in Lirah Caramelised Apple Balsamic and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Spoon layers of mousse and apple balsamic compote into serving glasses, repeating until full.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Garnish with toasted almonds and drizzle with extra Lirah Caramelised Apple Balsamic before serving.
