Simple, but still unusual & exciting, this champagne cocktail is an easy way to shake up the champagne routine. Adding balsamic gives the champagne a beautiful amber hue, and the flavor is a mellow mix of tang and sweetness.
Note: the type of sparkling wine you choose to use will change the taste considerably. For a sweeter result, use a sweet sparkling wine like Moscato Dolce or Prosecco. To tone down the sweetness, use a Brut or an Extra Brut sparkling wine or Champagne.
You can also jazz it up by adding some fresh fruit!
Ingredients:
- 15ml Fig Caramelised Balsamic,
- 150ml Sparkling Wine or Prosecco, chilled
- Fresh figs and thyme (optional)
Method
- Pour Fig Caramelised Balsamic into a chilled champagne flute.
- Hold the glass at a 45 degree angle (to preserve the bubbles) and gently pour in your sparkling wine or prosecco.
